IGS is currently recruiting a remote Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO).
This position is pending contract award, applicants will be reviewed post-award.
The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of IGS's security program and procedures as required by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Department of Defense (DOD), and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (32 CFR Part 117). The AFSO may supervise departmental activities in the absence of FSO to achieve security support and continuity of departmental operations.
Assignment of Work and Travel :
This is a remote access assignment. Candidates will work remotely daily and will remotely access IGS systems and therein use approved IGS provided communications systems. Travel is not required; however, the candidate may be required to attend onsite meetings as requested.
Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to) :
- Serve as a point of contact for all security matters related to government contracts.
- Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other relevant security requirements.
- Maintains and updates the company's Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP) and Insider Threat Program (ITP) documents as required by DCSA, NISPOM or standard security best practices.
- Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training for employees with security clearances.
- Manage personnel clearances, security documentation, and access to classified information through DISS and The National Background Investigation Services (NBIS).
- Support physical security measures for the facility, including badging, visitor access, and secure storage.
- Perform self-inspections and coordinate with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) representatives for audits and inspections.
- Manage the National Industrial Security System (NISS) to maintain facility security information, upload applicable DD254's, submit applicable Change Conditions for the company, and monitor notifications to company profile.
- Investigate and report security violations, follow through on incident reports, and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
- Support Ad Hoc projects as requested.
