Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Full-Time Campaign Copywriter to join our marketing team. Reporting directly to the Principal, this role is responsible for crafting compelling and targeted copy based on briefs provided by the Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate will be skilled in translating campaign objectives into clear, engaging, and persuasive messaging for various platforms, including social media, websites, presentations, video, radio, podcast, and print materials. The role requires close collaboration with designers, marketing strategists, and project managers to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all content channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campaign Copy Development: Write engaging and targeted copy for marketing campaigns, with a focus on public health and behavioral health topics. This includes content for social media, websites, email marketing, presentations, and print collateral.
- Brand Messaging: Maintain and uphold consistent tone, voice, and messaging across all platforms while adhering to campaign objectives and branding guidelines.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop messaging strategies that align with campaign goals and resonate with target audiences, including diverse community groups.
- Research and Synthesis: Translate complex program guidelines, funding opportunities, and deadlines into clear, concise, and easily digestible copy for different audiences, ensuring all essential details are communicated.
- Multichannel Content Creation: Write compelling copy for a variety of channels, including social media posts, email campaigns, press releases, flyers, brochures, and presentations.
- Editing and Proofreading: Ensure all copy is grammatically correct, well-structured, and error-free. Maintain quality control for all written content.
- Collaborative Feedback: Work closely with designers and project managers to iterate on copy based on feedback, ensuring alignment with visual elements and campaign objectives.
- Audience Engagement: Craft copy that is persuasive and drives action, whether that is to apply for funding, participate in surveys, or attend events. Tailor content for specific audiences, including community members, professionals, and public stakeholders.
- Adherence to Deadlines: Meet project deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Maintain a high standard of quality even under tight timelines.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required, preferably in Journalism, Marketing, Public Health, Health Policy, Social Work, Community Health, or a related field.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably in public health, non-profit, or community-focused campaigns.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in campaign copywriting across various mediums (social media, print, email, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and compelling messages.
- Strong research skills and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms (e.g., email marketing software, and social media management tools) is a plus.
