The Project Engineer will report directly into the General Manager and will be responsible for projects across all operations which includes waste-water treatment services, housing, roads, land and property management.
Position Overview
A leading land management and operations company on Molokai seeks a versatile and experienced Project Engineer to oversee and execute a wide variety of operational, infrastructure, and utility projects. This role plays a critical part in improving infrastructure systems, such as water, wastewater, and property management, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. As a key player in driving operational improvements, you will also help manage community and agency relationships to support the company’s environmental and social initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage infrastructure projects, including water systems, wastewater treatment facilities, housing, and roads.
- Coordinate project budgets, schedules, contractors, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Oversee maintenance and improvement plans for aging utility systems, including fire hydrants and reservoirs.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and government agencies to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Develop capital improvement plans to enhance operational efficiency.
- Serve as a liaison to local agencies and community stakeholders.

- Expertise in utility systems, including water and wastewater management.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of Associate’s Degree, Technical School and/or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering, utility, building, or construction project management and/or facilities management.
- Experience with water and wastewater systems, including compliance and maintenance.
- Ability to relocate to the island if not already a resident.
- Certifications in wastewater treatment and water distribution systems are a plus
Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
