Position Summary/Position
Under direction of the Director, Health Services Special Initiatives, the Analyst III - Health Services Special Initiatives is responsible for the development, monitoring, oversight, and implementation of projects related to Special Initiatives within Health Services. The Analyst III - Health Services Special Initiatives will work closely with Management to determine and plan the scope, project timeline and coordination of resources for various projects assigned to the department. Additionally, the Analyst III - Health Services Special Initiatives is responsible for meeting milestones of multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring successful completion of these projects.
Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1. Analyzes departmental program requirements and develops effective business communication such as request for proposals, regulatory correspondence, and process improvements. Collaborates with departmental director, managers and external partners to manage and disseminate key elements impacting departmental related projects.
2. Develops systems and processes to support operational strategies for multifaceted, strategic and complex projects. Responsible for communicating identified opportunities for process improvements, staffing and resource needs.
3. Applies universal knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of project management. Completes and maintains thorough documentation and communication with all key partners for each interrelated project. Responsible for creating and maintaining well documented dashboards, project timelines, milestones and weekly status report for multiple projects that run concurrently together. Responsible for continuously and proactively managing changes in the scope of projects, identifies risks, and devise’s contingency plans as needed.
4. Works closely with department staff to ensure all project documents are completed throughout each project life cycle.
5. Maintains and organizes project updates and follows through on tasks assigned to individuals in the department, bringing in other individuals to help if necessary.
6. Is accountable for the management and maintenance of information/document storage, organization and continuity of information gathered through various practice management resources and tools. Serves as point person for incoming and outgoing information relevant to projects that direct or indirectly affect the Practice Transformation Department.
7. Effectively communicates project expectations to all team members and stakeholders in a timely manner. This includes setting and continuing to manage project expectations and offering fundamental deliverables with all team members and stakeholders.
8. At times may be required to develop and/or deliver presentations related to various departmental projects.
9. Responsible for coordinating and documenting workflows and processes between Health Services Special Initiatives and other IEHP departments including healthcare informatics, medical operations, care management, behavioral health, community health, utilization management, I.T., and other internal IEHP units, in order to generate various types of reports that support the department’s development and growth.
10. Effectively communicates project expectations and assigned deliverables to stakeholders, including reminders and follow-up notices when project tasks or deliverables are due. Responsible for developing relationships with external practice sites’ data and information technology personnel, and a workflow for data transfer between IEHP and Providers.
11. Identify system platform issues, investigate those issues and develop technical resolutions either alone or in collaboration with other departments and be able to communicate to the practice’s involved.
12. Responsible for data trending, research and analysis, and workload projections based on anticipated membership growth and target populations. Responsible for modifying data collected from, and analytics performed for practice sites, in order to present to different stakeholders including internal leadership and stakeholder teams, partner practices, external consulting teams, and external evaluation teams.

Experience Qualifications
Position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the healthcare industry, and at least three (3) years progressively responsible experience in project management.
Preferred Experience
Experience preferably in part in a clinical setting. Microsoft Access and SQL experience preferred.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
Preferred Education
Master’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Knowledge Requirement
Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project or equivalent.
Skills Requirement
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Microsoft excels skill. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong organization skills.
Abilities Requirement
Ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity, priority levels and deadlines. Must be detail-oriented. Exceptional follow-through abilities to track all outstanding tasks and coordinate with assigned owners to ensure tasks are completed timely.

Working Conditions
Word processing involving computer keyboard and screens, filing and copying of records and/or correspondence. Long hours may be required to meet project deliverables.
Position is eligible for Hybrid work location upon completing the necessary steps and receiving HR approval. All IEHP positions approved for telecommute or hybrid work locations may periodically be required to report to IEHP’s main campus for mandatory in-person meetings or for other business needs as determined by IEHP leadership.

A reasonable salary expectation is between $79,809.60 and $101,774.40, based upon experience and internal equity.
