Reporting to the Director of Community Wellness Centers, the Community Wellness Center Manager is primarily responsible for managing, coordinating, and implementing the Community Wellness Centers, which provides hands-on leadership on the operations of the Centers. Center services include, but are not limited to, health education and health management classes, workshops as well as information regarding access to care. The Manager will be responsible for establishing measurable goals and outcomes for the Centers in collaboration with the Director, Community Wellness Centers and to explore exciting and innovative opportunities and partnerships with community-based organizations (CBO's) within the geography surrounding the Centers. Outreach and develop partnerships related to Center events and offerings to increase awareness in the surrounding community. Serve as the liaison/ambassador to internal and external clients/community partnerships. Effectively manage resources to ensure appropriate and efficient utilization. Directly responsible for the central coordination of all activities ensuring information flow to and from the Centers and IEHP headquarter office. Reviews and submits requests for payments, invoices, and other expenses for approval to the Director, Community Wellness Centers. Report Center-related projects and activities to the Director, Community Wellness Centers in IEHP's home office on all Center-related projects and activities.

- Responsible for all aspects of staff supervision to include, staff development, creating a motivating and energized work environment through strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Responsible for managing the collection of quantitative and qualitative information and evaluative tracking data on Center activities.
- Contributes to the development of the Center’s operational and capital budgets and monitors for compliance and participates in the negotiation of and monitoring of contracts and subcontracts related to the Center and related activities.
- Lead ongoing team meetings in addition to staff meetings with internal IEHP departments.
- Recommends changes to policies and procedures based on Community Wellness Center’s needs.
- Assist in collaborating with Management from Care Management, Member Services, Health Education, Health Navigator, IT, or other departments when resolving member issues or working on Program projects to support our business needs.
- Ensure the standards for member rights and responsibilities, such as confidentiality are maintained by staff.
- Oversee and review Centers Vendor Quality Assurance Program. Coordinate with Center Supervisor to ensure program consistency and vendor quality.
- Continuously establish contracts with fitness and educational vendors who can provide quality classes. As needed, collaborate with key internal departments for the review and approval of potential vendor curriculum.
- Assist the Director of Community Wellness Centers in coordinating special projects. Ensure special projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide feedback and input in the development of various marketing materials and/or Marketing Plans for Center.
- Establish new programs and services best suitable for the Center’s needs based on member feedback provided during Focus Groups, surveys, and regular interaction with participants.
- Nurture relationships with community-based organization partners who provide resources to families in the communities we serve.
- Assist in the coordination of education/discussion forums surrounding various preventive health, or healthcare access topics in Center’s territory.
- Work closely with property owner/manager and Facilities Manager on issues pertaining to Center’s security, maintenance, issues, etc.
- Coordinate high volume projects/requests from multiple facets of the Community Wellness Center.
- Work closely with Facilities, IT, Legal and Finance through the building and opening phases of all the Centers.
- Three (3) years of experience in any/all of the following:
- Supervision/Management
- Managed Care/IPA/Clinic Setting
- Member and Community Outreach
- Experience working with State Health Programs (Medi-Cal and Healthy Families Program)
- Experience with Community Centers is a plus
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required, degree preferably in Health, Social or Behavioral discipline from an accredited institution
Key Qualifications
- Must have a valid California Driver's license and valid automobile insurance. Must qualify and maintain driving record to drive company vehicles based on IEHP insurance standards of no more than three (3) points
- Knowledge of Medi-Cal/managed care environment preferred
- Knowledge of community resources available in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties
- Understanding of and sensitive to multi-cultural communities
- Bilingual (English/IEHP Threshold Language) written and verbal skills preferred
- Testing may be required to determine bi-lingual language level
- Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on MS Office software
- Excellent communication, time management, organization, and interpersonal skills

- Word processing and data entry involving computer keyboard and screens
- Setting up and cleaning up for classes
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- High amount of field work with 25% driving travel required
