Temporary Part-Time Account Receivable
Job Summary
Temporary Part-Time Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for supporting the AR department and assisting with day-to-day operations. This short-term role involves gaining hands-on experience in accounts receivable processes, financial analysis, and exposure to real-world business operations. The projected hours per week will be 20-30 hours and the conclusion date for this position is June 28, 2024.
Account Receivable Responsibilities
- Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
- Researching and resolving account discrepancies.
- Processing and recording transactions.
- Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
- Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
- Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
- Generating reports and statements for internal use.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the department manager or leadership team.
Account Receivable Requirements
- Strong math, typing, and computer skills, especially with bookkeeping software.
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.
Education and experience
- High School Diploma minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong math, typing and experience with bookkeeping software.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
