Job Summary:
A Warehouse Shipping Manager is responsible for ensuring the shipping department of the warehouse and employees working in the shipping department are managed and on track. A Warehouse Shipping Manager must have excellent time-management and communication skills. A Warehouse Shipping Manager should have no history of drug or alcohol abuse.
Responsibilities:
- Help develop and train team members in the shipping department of the warehouse
- Purchase tools and equipment to provide aid in the shipping department
- Handle disciplinary action as needed in the shipping department
- Ensure team members are held accountable and being productive
- Inform and coordinate with salespeople on shipment schedules and estimated times for arrival on customer deliveries
- Order warehouse supplies such as paper products, shrink wrap, and tape
- Manage the overall maintenance schedule of warehouse delivery vehicle and forklifts
- When the Warehouse Receiving Manager is out, the Warehouse Shipping Manager is responsible for completing the responsibilities of the Warehouse Receiving Manager
- Provide support for other Inline Electric Supply branches when necessary
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the branch manager
