Job Summary
The Shipper handles outgoing shipments and freight, ensuring proper routing through local transportation systems. Responsibilities include checking deliveries by company trucks, completing shipping reports, and using proper packing and handling methods for secure shipments. The role also involves securing stock or production needs, maintaining accurate records, and supporting inventory control, including cycle counts and audits. Basic computer skills and forklift certification are required.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
· Secure needs from stock or production and fills orders.
· Keep accurate reference records.
· May assist in building crates in department.
· The associate will be responsible for recording every transaction made into SAP.
· Must maintain legible and accurate records.
· Will be responsible for inventory control, cycle counts and random audits of materials. Other duties as assigned.
· Maintain clean work area.
· Observe safety regulations and precautions.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills
Required:
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Plus if experienced in 4-directional lift trucks.
Associated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Must have basic computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
· Accurately read a ruler.
· Perform basic mathematical calculations.
· Familiar with paperwork procedures and record keeping.
· Must be able to type accurately and with enough speed to handle freight bills, shipping papers and other typing duties of the job.
· Must achieve forklift certification through Kysor Warren.

Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements
· Near dock area with open bays, temperature extremes.
· Wear required PPE, including steel toed safety shoes, at all times, follow 6S procedures, participate in preventative injury exercises, and comply with all job-related work instructions.
· Lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required. Must be able to work up to 12 hours/day, 7 days/week as required.
· Must be able to walk on a concrete floor from 8 to 12 hours a day, depending on production needs.
· Forklift handling is heavy, often over-sized loads in high traffic plant.

· Computer, Parts Scanner, Pallet jack, Forklift, Large Indoor Overhead Crane, Company Pickup truck and Flat bed truck (manual transmission).
