Description:

Inman Solar is seeking a motivated professional for a full-time position as Project Engineer. Working with a knowledgeable and experienced team, the candidate will be involved in all aspects of solar project management. Immediate responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of ground-mounted solar projects 3-50MW in size. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Participate in meetings with clients, interconnecting utilities and other project stakeholders.

·         Prepare, compile, and maintain up to date and accurate project documentation including but not limited to certified payrolls, project schedules, equipment/material purchase logs, etc.

·         Research, review, and track compliance requirements at federal, state, and local levels.

·         Prepare technical specifications and requests for inquiry for purposes of project design, material ordering, submittal and approval process.

·         Evaluate vendor proposals against project design requirements, issue purchase orders, coordinate deliveries with field personnel.

·         Report schedule and progress of construction as required by customer on weekly/monthly basis.

·         Track project costs including vendor billing against purchase orders and subcontractor invoicing per contract.

·         Assist in commissioning and closeout process of solar farms including but not limited to QAQC, O&M, Completion Certifications, Billing, Waivers, and Compliance documentation.

·         Coordinate with all disciplines of construction.

·         Travel to current and/or potential job sites for various preconstruction or construction activities.

·         Additional tasks or duties as assigned by management team.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or educational background in engineering or similar field preferred.

·         Interested in sustainability and solar energy.

·         High level of attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.

·         Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Strong computer skills.

·         Ability to read construction drawings and technical specifications.

·         Fluent in professional English.
