The Inn at Taughannock Falls, is a luxury boutique hotel with Lakeview dining and
world class event center, located just outside of Ithaca NY, The company is seeking
an experienced Event Planner to join the team.
Since this multi-million-dollar event center named, “ENCHANTMENT” opened four
years ago, we have earned “BEST IN SHOW” for 4 years in a row and are one of the
highest rated Event Centers based on “The Knot” and “Wedding Wire” in central
New York. This venue is the only one of its kind in the region, featuring a 100’ x 60’
sailcloth tent, customizable lighting package, multiple fire features including an
enormous dry stack stone fireplace, a private prep kitchen and luxury restrooms.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with some event experience to join our
team. This program starts as a training program for 4-6 weeks, based on your
prior experience level, then you’ll convert to a full-time Event Planner position.
We produce over 100 events each year and the sales department will assign you
with event deals scheduled on our calendar. This is an exceptional venue for any
Event planner to work, since there is an excess amount of labor on-site the day of
each event. This team support every aspect of producing a first-class event with
the intention to liberate our Event Planners so they can remain with the Bride and
Groom.
Duties:
· Collaborate with event planners and learn our procedures to organize and
execute various types of events.
· Assist in coordinating event logistics, including venue setup, catering, and
ordering third party vendors requirements.
· Assist current event planners up to and during an event to ensure
everything runs smoothly and learn the company procedures
FULL TIME DUTIES: Once training is over, you’ll convert to a full-time independent
event planner and be assigned Events, that are 90% negotiated and a fully
executed deal. Since we operate a concierge Event program, you may have a year
to work with the Bride and Groom to design and execute every detail, making their
dream event come true.
Skills:
· Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficient in time management to meet deadlines effectively
· Use of Microsoft Office & Google Suite products.
· Must have the gift or speaking with all kinds of people, a keen eye for detail

Job Type:
TRAINING: During the training period, expected hours: 25 – 35 per week at $19
per hour.
Full Time: Once you are promoted to Full Time Event Planner, depending on your
skill set, your rate increases to $900 per week plus bonuses for every wedding you
oversee plus a percentage of upselling to the client
