JJob summary
Assure cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas, and assist room attendants in order to maintain The Inn of The Hills Hotel and Conference Center’s high standards of quality. The incumbent is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities, provided such action is consistent with position guidelines as outlined below or through the exercise of sound, reasonable judgment and initiative in the performance of job responsibilities. Position guidelines include, but are not limited to, established company and department policies and procedures and all supervisory directives.
Summary of essential job functions
1. Empty room attendant carts of soiled linen and trash
2. Vacuum, sweep, or mop hallways, stairwells, vending areas, and foyers
3. Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors
4. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers and guest room doors, and elevator doors
5. Obtain amenities and supplies for room attendants
6. Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor
Educational/Experience Requirements
1. Any combination of education or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
2. Previous janitorial experience preferred
Abilities Required
1. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time.
2. Ability to lift equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.
3. Ability to understand English.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
