GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the Key Account Manager serves as an internal sales/support group responsible for handling designated sales accounts, providing quotes, credit terms, estimated delivery dates, and maintaining existing and seeking for new customer accounts.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES

- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information gathered from various reliable sources such as newspapers, business directories, industry ads, internet web sites, and trade shows.
- Plays an integral part in generating new and existing sales and long-lasting customer relationships.
- Handles designated sales accounts by developing a solid/trusting relationship between Innex and customers. Communicates via email, instant messaging, Skype, phone, etc.
- Develops a complete understanding of key account needs, anticipating key account changes.
- Resolves key customer issues and complaints in a prompt and effective manner.
- Travels throughout assigned territory and calls on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, pitching a variety of products to core customers.
- Travels via personal vehicle, airline, public transportation, etc., and participates in Trade Shows; meets and surpasses at least 80% of set Trade Show goals and post trade show goals.
- Creates/maintains a process for managing historic pricing for customers.
- Displays/demonstrates products using samples or catalog, emphasizes sellable features.
- Quotes sales prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Keeps track and updates CRM.
- Provides estimated delivery date to customer based on knowledge of productivity and delivery schedules.
- Prepares business transaction reports and maintains expense accounts.
- Interacts and works with sales, marketing, customer service, purchasing, accounting, and warehouse operations team, as needed, in the daily performance of job duties.
- Works closely with sales team to ensure that account activities and sales literature is up to date.
- Performs data entry duties, accurately entering customer-related data and sales information for current customers.
- Coordinates customer training.
- Maintaining a satisfactory (reliable) attendance and punctuality record is an essential requirement of this position.
- Performs other related work assignments, special projects, and job duties as assigned by Sr. management.
