Job Description:
As the Sales Executive/Business Development for Fiber Optic Products/Solutions, you will be in a pivotal leadership role, driving not only new business growth but also team development and strategic oversight. This position focuses on managing and growing the existing sales team, hiring and onboarding new team members, and developing incentive programs to align team performance with business objectives. You will cultivate strong customer partnerships, develop and implement strategies for market growth, and refine operational efficiencies. Additionally, you will oversee sales team performance, foster professional development, and ensure alignment with organizational goals, laying the groundwork for sustained growth and market leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, manage, and develop the existing sales team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to maximize individual and team performance.
- Design and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities and address skill gaps.
- Develop and execute strategies for expanding the sales team through recruiting, hiring, and onboarding top talent.
- Incentive Program Development:
- Collaborate with leadership to update and refine incentive programs that motivate team members, drive growth, and align with company objectives.
- Monitor program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed to ensure continued success.
- New Business Development:
- Continue to identify and secure new business opportunities within targeted medical and industrial markets through strategic analysis and industry insights.
- Foster relationships with key OEM customers, negotiate contracts, and ensure mutual profitability and satisfaction.
- Strategic and Account Planning:
- Develop and implement account plans to drive revenue and market share growth.
- Provide strategic oversight for team account planning efforts, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Value Proposition and Marketing:
- Partner with marketing teams to refine messaging and develop compelling materials that effectively communicate the value of our fiber optic solutions.
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events, expanding our brand presence.
- Process Optimization and Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline sales and business development processes to enhance overall efficiency, both internally and with external partners.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve workflow and ensure smooth execution of strategies.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, business development, or team management, ideally within the fiber optic cable/solutions industry for medical and/or industrial markets.
- Demonstrated success in leading sales teams, managing accounts, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Proven ability to develop OEM relationships, negotiate contracts, and close complex deals.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical skills, with experience managing and motivating teams.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
