Your Future Role

1st shift Maintenance Repair technician provides technical support for manufacturing equipment and systems and ensures equipment is properly maintained and operating correctly. This includes diagnosing faults and defects, determining corrective actions and appropriate repairs. The position also performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics of systems to ensure optimal operation. This position is in a collective bargaining Union. Must become a member of the local collective bargaining unit upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform the necessary mechanical work required to maintain the machines and process equipment in optimum operating condition in the manufacturing plant
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of various manual, N.C., C.N.C. and computerized equipment based on assigned work orders.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, measuring instruments and complex mechanical drawings.
• Make diagnosis and adjustments of problems using suitable test equipment as required to restore machine to optimum operation.
• Dismantle as required to repair or replace defective parts. Reassemble machine and adjust for optimum operation.
• Implement preventive maintenance measures including execution, completion, and record keeping.
• Install special attachments; replace belts, sheaves, etc.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance supervisor and floor supervision.
• Investigate parts availability and write purchase requisitions. Maintain inventory of repair equipment & parts.
• Ensure that all maintenance projects are completed safely, correctly and meet or surpass all customer expectations. Follow and promote all safety and quality directives in support of the company's commitment to be the industry’s premier maintenance service provider to our clients. Strict adherence to all OSHA and Siemens safety and work practice policies.
• Review assigned work orders on computerized maintenance management system and close work orders as completed.
  
  

Your Profile

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

• 2 years of experience working is related field
• Completion of an Associate degree or technical degree from an accredited maintenance repair program.
• Proof of successful completion (including transcripts) must be provided for consideration of this position.
• Possesses knowledge of metalworking manufacturing processes and their related mechanical/electrical control equipment
  
  

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

• Detailed training on material handling equipment desirable.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-driven
  
  

The pay range for this position is $35.75 The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
