Direct Hire opportunity for a Project Manager - Team Lead located in Beasley, TX
The manager will be responsible for all stages of the job from initiation of the contract to job close. Including ensuring execution during the engineering, design, and fabrication stages of awarded contracts.
As a Project Manager you will:
- Lead and manage a team of project managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success.
- Responsible for all commercial and administrative requirements of Projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, sales, and marketing, to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or roadblocks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee project budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Conduct regular project reviews and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and execute project plans, including defining scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct project status meetings, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Monitor and track project progress and lead the project team throughout the project lifecycle (design, fabrication installation)
- Ability to follow all company procedures with regards to project reporting and client interface including Financial/Operations Reviews, Project Planning, Procurement Planning, Budgeting, Staffing and Quality Management
- Coordinate project activities to comply with all design codes, safety regulations, government, and regulatory agencies.
- Review and apply project specifications to engineering, design and fabrication efforts.
- Manage Customer and internal documents through the Document Management System
- Coordinate material/purchasing requirements, develop requisitions and approve vendor selections.
- Establish and maintain process for cost control, cost forecasting, planning/scheduling, change management, and reporting on projects.
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.
Ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field
- 15 years' experience in project management
- 7 years of relevant business and management background.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management.
- Intimate understanding of the market, product/service offerings and customer base.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Logical problem-solving skills, outstanding organizational skills and dedication to quality and integrity. Proven ability to quickly assess complex issues and identify root causes/key success factors.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM and other technology tools
- Proven management of subordinate project managers with span of control across multiple product lines or industries.
- Project Management Certification
- Knowledge of fabricating and assembling heavy industrial products.
- Experience in lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement environment.
- Experience working in a sales representative network.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000 per year
