As Scientist , you will :

Onsite 100% South San Francisco
The ideal candidate must have experience with mammalian cell culture, specifically growing immortalized or primary cells in tissue culture, and preferably CRISPR editing, though this can be taught if needed. Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, such as cell transfection or virus transduction, is also highly desired. Candidates should bring independent research experience, whether through significant industry work (e.g., 10 years with a bachelor’s degree), a master’s degree with 2 years of experience, or a recent PhD.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following :
Execute and document experimental plans and laboratory procedures timely with great attention to details.
Execute data analysis and troubleshooting with guidance.
Perform mammalian cell line and primary cell tissue culture, CRISPR editing, lentivirus transduction, in vitro cell transfection, Flow cytometry analysis, and cell-based molecular biology and biochemical assays.
Performing RNA and DNA extraction from mammalian cell lines and tissues, and related quantitative PCR / digital PCR.
Present data internally and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Maintain laboratory protocols, notebooks, data, and project records responsively.
Operate and maintain lab equipment.
Basic Qualifications :
0 Years w / Relevant PhD or equivalent (where applicable) 2 Years w / Relevant MS or equivalent 4 Years w / Relevant BS or equivalent Advanced and proficient understanding and use of technical principles, theories, and concepts to perform expansive range of work in a role. Basic knowledge of related and adjacent disciplinary areas.
Strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, or biochemistry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct experiments.
Proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel.
The successful candidate must have expertise in his or her field of research as well as the ability to adapt to new technologies and techniques.
Comfortable in fast-paced company environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.
Desired Qualifications :
Proficiency in mammalian cell and primary cell tissue culture, in vitro cell transfection, lentivirus transduction, and CRISPR editing.
Hands-on experience with performing experiments, such as RNA, DNA extraction, PCR, and cloning.
Experience with handling samples at 96 or 384-well format.
Proficiency in performing and analysis of FACS and gene editing are preferred.

Day to Day Responsibilities :
The successful candidate will be working collaboratively with a group of passionate scientists to conduct various types of functional genomics screens to discover, develop and validate exciting client drug discovery pipeline. The day to day responsibilities including maintaining mammalian cell culture at large scale, performing genome-scale functional genomics screens, conducting experiments to assess cell phenotypic changes, validate editing efficacy, and measure drug sensitivity.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS :
Pay Range
- 40.00-$45.00 per hour.
- Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
