The Member Engagement Specialist plays a key role in engaging and retaining members through proactive telephonic outreach and personalized support. This position focuses on welcoming new members, guiding them through their onboarding journey, and ensuring they fully understand available services, benefits, and care programs. The specialist will also assist with scheduling initial visits, conducting welcome calls, and providing ongoing education to enhance member experience and retention. While primarily a telephone-based role, occasional travel (20-25%) may be required to support engagement initiatives during peak growth periods.

Essential Job Functions
- New Member Onboarding – Guide new members through the onboarding process, ensuring they understand available services, benefits, and next steps.
- Welcome Calls & First Visit Scheduling – Conduct outreach to schedule initial appointments, answer questions, and provide a warm introduction to the clinic.
- Member Education & Support – Provide personalized assistance, explaining care coordination, available programs, and wellness resources.
- Follow-Up & Engagement – Maintain ongoing communication with new members to confirm appointment attendance and address any concerns.
- Data Tracking & Reporting – Document interactions, track outreach efforts, and provide insights on onboarding success and patient engagement.
- Outbound Calls – Community & Clinic Event Outreach – Make phone calls to invite and/or remind members to attend clinic engagement activities.
- Collaboration with Clinic Teams – Maintain clear communication with assigned clinic administrators to ensure smooth and efficient patient appointment scheduling.
- Inbound Call Management – Receive inbound calls from community partners and gather essential information to schedule new patient appointments.
- Sales, customer service, or outreach experience preferred.
- Excellent telephone communication and customer service skills.
- Experience working with community organizations and/or the senior population.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong CRM skills.
- Excellent reading and writing skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
- Experience working with senior populations or community outreach preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
