Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to lead our Rehabilitation Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Leadership and Management: Comply with company and department policies, state, federal, local, and other third-party payer policies; and applicable standards of practice. Demonstrate customer service and manage department staff members effectively.
- Training and Education: Perform competency evaluations, provide education on performance improvement, and plan training for department staff members.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports on rehab services, including utilization, performance improvement, service data, outcome data, productivity, and budget.
- Patient Care and Safety: Coordinate patient care, ensure patients' needs are met, and maintain facility policy adherence. Manage equipment safely and correctly, and maintain department cleanliness and safety.
- Liaison and Communication: Function as liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Communicate clearly and appropriately to physicians, staff, and administrative team.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations.
- Professional Development: Maintain knowledge and proficiency of all rehab services modalities, comply with ongoing departmental inspections, and participate in committee, CQI, and management meetings.
