The Director of Quality at Innovation Foods is tasked with leading all Food Safety, Regulatory, Sanitation, and Product Quality activities. Reporting to the General Manager, this individual works closely with the Plant Director and leadership team to improve Quality & Food Safety systems in response to organizational performance, changing regulations, and customer demands.
The role requires extensive experience in food safety and quality functions, with specific expertise in aseptic processing, regulatory compliance, and statistical process control. Key responsibilities include managing daily compliance with food safety regulations, overseeing lab and sanitation programs, leading audit preparation & food safety initiatives, monitoring plant programs, and ensuring the daily implementation of food safety standards.
A strong background in microbiology and sanitation, combined with experience in developing and implementing HACCP plans and/or Food Safety & Quality plans, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical knowledge of aseptic processing and packaging industry, as well as experience with filing FDA Scheduled Processes and prior experience with process authorities and plant commissioning.
As a leader in the field, the Director of Quality will champion a culture of excellence with emphasis on food safety, curiosity, and integrity. Building a team first mentality focused on details, preventive risk mitigation and predictive analytics, this individual will drive Quality & Food Safety Initiatives using a hands-on approach rooted in communication and education.
The successful candidate will possess considerable experience and understanding of statistics and the application of statistical process control in a food manufacturing environment. Additionally, they will understand GMP requirements in supply chain operations and have deep regulatory knowledge within the US and Canada. Computer literacy in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is also required.
