What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maint Mechanic Tech III - Mid Shift position at Innovations in Nutrition + Wellness?
Essential Functions :
- Equipment Maintenance : Independently troubleshoots system or equipment failures or poor performance. Repairs, adjusts or calibrates packaging and process equipment as needed, including electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic sub-systems. Works with management to determine the root cause of complex equipment performance issues and makes appropriate corrections or recommendations. Supports the design and implementation of continuous improvement processes. Performs preventative maintenance to production-related equipment and powered industrial trucks as needed.
- Electrical : Independently performs troubleshooting-of low and high voltage electrical and control systems from 24v to 480v devices (AC and DC), including repair or replacement of system components.
- System Installation : Design, Construction and Repair - Recommends and performs installations of new or replacement equipment. Works with or oversees in-house and third-party installation.
- Problem Solving :
Detect, diagnose, and resolve electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating / cooling, and equipment problems before they impact the operation of the facility.
Is able to use hand tools, power tools with a variety of materials to build or custom equipment or repair existing devices such as guards, stands or panels to support the operation and improve plant safety.
Independently performs general facility repairs such as minor plumbing, general electric, lighting, painting, and wall repair. Perform minor repairs on doors and dock plates to resolve problems and ensure successful operation. Uses resources effectively to complete major repairs and tenant improvement work as requested. Communicates with all peers, customers, and management to accomplish assigned and critical tasks. Oversees third party projects to completion.
Performs necessary data entry (i.e. shift reports, work orders, down time logs, preventative maintenance logs) Completes forms required by the Quality Department before machines are returned to service. Maintains records to ensure accountability of tools and parts during routine or emergency maintenance.
Ensures the primary work areas are left in an organized, neat and clean manner. Identifies and acts immediately regarding any safety hazards, spills, etc., to avoid the risk of accidents. Uses safe lifting techniques and operates power equipment in a safe manner. Abide by all stated regulations while performing works, i.e. lockout / tag out procedures, etc. Communicate with all peers, customers, and management regarding safety issues and training requirements.
Pay Rate : $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Mid Shift Hours : 11 : 00am to 7 : 30pm, Monday - Friday
