A day in the life as Benefit Consultant

As a full-time Benefit Consultant, you will be at the forefront of establishing and nurturing positive experiences between Innovative and our clients. Your role will be pivotal in selling and managing a range of benefit solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Responsibilities include :

Essential Duties :

  • Source and close new sales opportunities through lead follow-up, outbound cold calls, networking, and emails to achieve assigned quota.
  • Understand prospect needs and present Innovative's solutions to prospects.
  • Research, maintain, and expand database of prospects, accounts, identify key players, and generate interest.
  • Maintain personal networks and participate in professional organizational events.
  • Maintain existing client relationships by working with Account Teams for client renewal, strategy, and plan performance meetings with clients.
  • Expand and enhance selling techniques and practices to increase efficiency and results.
  • Call existing and potential clients to secure attendance at seminars and workshops.
  • Meet or exceed set annual sales goals.

Core Competencies :

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred.
  • Life and Health licenses must be acquired within the initial six months of employment.
  • Strong listening and presentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Flexible working hours that at times require some evening and weekend work.
