What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solar Designer/Operations Assistant position at Innovative Energy, Inc?
The Solar Designer/Operations Assistant works closely with the President of the company and is primarily responsible to set and accomplish annual, seasonal sales and marketing goals. This will require defining markets and working with other people inside and outside of the company. Interpersonal skills, outreach and ability to find consensus are necessary abilities to be successful in this role. The job of the Solar Designer/Operations Assistant will focus on finding ways to identify and set up both commercial and residential renewable energy projects. They will work with engineering and administration to allocate the resources needed to do this work. Additionally, the Solar Designer/Operations Assistant will work to support attendance at outreach events, maintain and improve the company website and database, maintain customer relations, perform site visits, participate in general office tasks and create proposals for various projects. There will be times they will meet with financers, construction managers, site hosts and/or customers throughout the negotiation and installation phases of projects. Experience in economic analysis, proposal presentation and detail management will be helpful.
