Position Overview:
The Market Research & Economic Impact Analyst will lead market research efforts, economic impact studies, and business case development to support business growth, public-private partnerships, and investment decisions. This individual will be responsible for data collection, financial modeling, and presenting actionable insights to leadership, clients, and stakeholders.
This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who can crunch numbers, develop compelling reports, and present data-driven strategies with clarity and confidence. The role requires up to 50% travel for client engagements, site visits, and stakeholder meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Business Intelligence:
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategy.
- Identify trends, industry shifts, and economic factors that impact business opportunities.
- Economic Impact Analysis & Financial Modeling:
- Develop financial models to assess the economic impact of programs, initiatives, and investment opportunities.
- Quantify ROI, job creation, industry expansion, and community impact for various projects.
- Business Case Development & Reporting:
- Create compelling business cases and economic justifications for funding requests, proposals, and investment opportunities.
- Prepare well-structured reports, white papers, and executive summaries that translate data into strategic insights.
- Data Analysis & Visualization:
- Use Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and other tools to analyze large datasets and create visual reports.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Presentations:
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, government agencies, and corporate partners.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to align data insights with strategic goals.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in market research, economic impact analysis, financial modeling, or data analytics.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and other data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build financial models, perform ROI analysis, and conduct cost-benefit assessments.
- Experience in economic development, workforce strategy, or public-private partnerships is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly and persuasively.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a results-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for client-related engagements.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience with real estate, infrastructure, workforce development, or construction-related financial modeling.
- Background in business intelligence (BI) tools, GIS mapping, and impact assessment methodologies.
- Understanding of government funding, public policy, and economic development programs.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Certification in financial modeling (FMVA) or business analysis (CBAP) is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 (commensurate with experience and location)
