What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Control Specialist - Main Office position at Innovative Labs?
The Document Control Specialist is an essential part of Innovative Labs. This role assists the Document Control department in completing a variety of tasks including review, edits, control of documents, document maintenance, filing, training, and record keeping related to document control.
As a Quality/Document Control Specialist, you will:
- Creates, updates and maintains MMR’s -Master Manufacturing Records.
- Creates, updates and maintains SOP’s, plans and other Quality Documentation.
- Collects and submits documentation to certifying agencies.
- Approves specifications, deviations and change control records.
- Organizes, files and maintains records.
- Works with the purchasing department to secure required paperwork.
- Assists in plant HACCP and food safety programs.
- Participates in ensuring plant wide pre-requisite programs function.
- Performs internal audit review.
- Requires local travel.
- Helps ensure cGMP compliance.
- Assists in product recall traceability and adverse event reporting.
- Assesses non-compliances and makes recommendations for corrective actions.
- Assists in managing customer complaints, corrective actions and CAPA’s.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Good attendance is required.
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of Document Control or Quality Control experience
- Must know Microsoft office
