**Position Summary**
Full-time Front Desk
As a physical therapy clinic receptionist, it is your responsibility to check patients in and out of the office, schedule appointments, assist with billing and insurance, and maintain accurate medical records. Your duties and responsibilities also include answering phones, greeting patients with a welcoming demeanor, and answering questions about patient care or treatment when possible. You prepare client charts, clean the reception area, and maintain office inventory. Protecting patient confidentiality is a significant part of the job, meaning you must abide by federal HIPAA regulations.

- Process insurance billing
- Exhibits the highest level of customer service, through friendly and professional behavior.
- Holds in confidence all matters concerning patients.
- Files and maintains all patient records accurately.
- Orders office supplies, including copier, computer, printer, and fax machine supplies.
- Types and distributes correspondence as needed.
- Responsible for patient check-in, check-out, and scheduling appointments. Answering phones and addressing patient needs. Taking descriptive and accurate telephone messages.
- Responsible for properly distributing faxes, reports, and correspondence to appropriate locations.
- Responsible for diagnostic test scheduling including proper documentation of actions.
- Responsible for accurate registering and updating all patient demographics and insurance into the billing system.
- Collection of all co-pays, co-insurance and/or previous balances on accounts.
- Reconciles monthly/daily payment posting reports with billing system.
- Knowledgeable of current insurance plans accepted by practice.
- Completes all necessary patient care referrals, pre-authorizations and/or pre-certifications for testing and medication (as instructed by the Manager).
- Accurately reviews and processes incoming transcription reports.
- Responsible for maintaining patient medical records and processing medical record distribution requests.
- Enter orders into the Webpt system
- Perform clerical duties such as word processing, data entry, answering phones, and filing charts.
**Requirements**
Minimum two years of front desk experience.
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
