What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payment Specialist position at Innovative Systems Group?
This is a 1 year contract position and is hybrid. In office days are Wednesday.
Responsible for posting customer payments and will handle some specialized payment situations, as assigned, under general supervision.
1. Accurately posts all assigned manual and electronic payments to customer accounts.
2. Daily research of check payments to determine corresponding customer account.
3. Verifies accuracy, research discrepancies and reconcile payment errors.
4. Resolves and reports issues in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Reconciles payments daily.
6. Works on special projects as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position requires excellent organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills to ensure payments are posted correctly into customer accounts. Candidate must demonstrate a positive demeanor, good verbal, and written communication skills. Candidate must have the ability to work independently without close supervision. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
