Business Development Specialist
Innovative Technologies Corporation (ITC) is seeking a resourceful, experienced Business Development specialist with strong Capture and Proposal experience to support our growing BD Team in Dayton, OH (HQ) and the DMV (primary market).
Summary:
Under limited supervision, administers, coordinates and completes the activities involved in coordinating, developing, and revising various task order and IDIQ proposals in response to DoD RFPs, RFIs and RFQs for current and potential clients.
Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Authors, edits, collects, and coordinates content, for multiple concurrent task order RFPs, RFIs and RFQs. Additionally, the position is responsible for reviewing, editing, and updating proposal volume narratives to ensure clarity and consistency in approach and compliance to proposal requirements.
- Coordinates with Pricing Team to develop pricing strategy and ensures consistency between Technical and Cost Volumes, and submission of completed proposal.
- Develops and maintains templates and associated data required for development of compliant proposals in response to individual contract Task Order RFPs to include trend analysis of win and loss information.
- Collaborates directly with SMEs and other stakeholders (Program Managers, Capture Managers, Corporate Leadership) to collect, tailor, and translate content to ensure appropriate messaging in compliance with solicitation documentation.
- Works with key stakeholders both independently and as a member of a team to write and develop proposal sections, such as, but not limited to corporate and executive summaries, past performance volumes, technical approaches, management plans, other documents in support of the overall proposal effort and standardization of information collection, organization and tracking.
- Supports business capture management to include group level solicitation tracking and maintenance of historical information via internal SharePoint site.
- Lead and conducts or participates in proposal reviews with management.
- Serve as a team leader to coordinate major proposal efforts.
Other duties as assigned
- Compiles information from functional departments.
- Supports other BD related duties to include oversight and management of pipeline.
- Researches and analyzes historical data to support proposals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or related experience.
- 5 years technical proposal writing for government contracting including authoring portions of proposals, RFPs, or similar documents in federal contracting and/or government environments.
- Experience with Section L & Section M of RFPs.
- Experience with MS Office Suite, Share Point, & Teams.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, excellent problem-solving skills, and make sound decisions with minimal information available.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask on a variety of projects.
- Superior grammar, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on large IDIQ contracts
Compensation
- $90,000 to $125,000 base salary.
- Performance Bonuses
