A Commercial Roofing Estimator in Lexington, KY, plays a crucial role in assessing and estimating costs for commercial roofing projects. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and effective communication to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Evaluation: Conduct on-site assessments to determine the condition of existing roofing systems and identify design requirements and potential issues.
- Cost Estimation: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for roofing projects, including materials, labor, and other associated expenses.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare and submit comprehensive bid documents and project plans to clients, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Client Communication: Provide technical information and support to clients regarding roofing capabilities and project specifics.
- Data Management: Organize and maintain customer data and records for future reference and project tracking.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years in commercial roofing estimation, with a strong understanding of low-slope roof systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with roofing materials, installation best practices, and proficiency in estimation software such as The Edge.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
