We're looking for a skilled Payroll Manager who thrives in a collaborative environment to lead payroll operations for our 2,500 employees. What You'll Do
- Manage all aspects of payroll processing, including salaries, commissions, garnishments, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings.
- Ensure timely and compliant payroll execution across multiple states and EINs.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data, working closely with HR, Accounting, and Finance.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Stay current with labor laws and payroll regulations; implement changes as needed.
- Support the year-end process, including W-2 generation and distribution.
- Supervise and mentor our talented payroll staff.
- Play a key role in system enhancements, payroll platform upgrades, and continuous process improvement.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee payroll questions with clarity and professionalism.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
- 5 years of payroll experience, including 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with payroll platforms like Paycom, Workday, ADP, or Paycor.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations (FLSA, FMLA, IRS, multi-state).
- Advanced Excel skills and HRIS proficiency.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and integrity.
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
- Experience in human healthcare or veterinary medicine is highly desirable.
