Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse tasks including order picking, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
Duties
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and clamp trucks to move products within the facility.
- Perform order picking and packing accurately to ensure timely shipments.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including inspecting incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies.
- Maintain organization within the warehouse by following established procedures for inventory management using a warehouse management system.
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards while performing all tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and maintain high standards of quality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols is essential.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as cranes and other mechanical devices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace is required.
