Our global client in the aerospace and defense industry is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead several high-impact data center consolidation initiatives to successful completion. Initially, this role will focus on decommissioning four Collins Data Centers (over 6,000 servers), with a commitment to finalizing the project by year-end. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with application leadership, business teams, migration teams, and technical experts to ensure migrations are executed smoothly and efficiently. - 7 years’ experience in a Project Management role at an enterprise company
- Experience leading and managing end-to-end application migrations from on-premises data centers to cloud environments or between data centers
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and/or Planview
- Experience managing the project requirements and deliverables
- Deep understanding of data center operations, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud technologies
- Strong communication skills and ability to drive projects forward
• PMP or PMI Certification
- ITIL Certifications
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation for both data center and application migrations.
- Support all of the migrations of the in-scope applications and services to the new datacenters
- Ensure that migrations are executed according to plan, managing the technical and logistical aspects of moving data, applications, and infrastructure.
- Provide executive-level updates, presenting key project metrics, milestones, and any deviations from the plan.
- Responsible for updating and tracking projects within Jira and Confluence
- Responsible for status reporting & escalating issues to the Program Manager
- Act as a liaison between business, migration, and technical teams
