The account manager serves as the interface between the customer service and the sales team. They are assigned a company s existing client accounts. Please visit our website at www.lehivalley.comESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-sellingOperates as the primary point of contact for assigned customersDevelops and maintains long-term relationships with accountsMakes sure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashionCommunicates client needs and demands to employer companyForecasts and tracks client account metricsManage projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goalsIdentifies opportunities to grow business with existing clientsCoordinate with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent servicePerforms a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others.QUALIFYING SKILLS REQUIREMENT : A Bachelor's degree in Business or similar degree is highly preferred.5-7 years of experience in a sales capacity or account management, specifically in food.Familiar with food retail and food manufacturing salesFamiliar with Project management skills and all facets of selling, ordering, production and delivery of goods.Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Must have good influencing skills to provide the customer with opportunities and capabilities for income.Must have excellent communication skills to represent the company to external customers and exchange information in person, in writing, by telephone, or e-mail.Must have exceptional skills developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with both customers and across the business. Dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations.Must have excellent skills in handling customer complaints, resolving conflicts and negotiating with others in an effort to support sales goals.Must have knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written to convey information or ideas effectively and the ability demonstrate active listening skills. Also includes speaking clearly and the ability to express information clearly both in spoken language and in writing.Must demonstrate critical thinking skills using logic and reasoning skills to identify the challenges and opportunities of alternative options. Analyzing information and evaluating options and implement the best solution.Must have excellent time management skills.Must have excellent knowledge and skills in computers Excel, Outlook, Internet browsing and practical application of mathematics to solve problems. Prior experience with sales technology is preferred.Must have a valid driver s license and a clean driving record.
