Dietitian Clinical Specialist 2 Responsibilities:
- The Dietitian Clinical Specialist 2 provides safe and therapeutic nutritional care in a comprehensive and systematic manner.
- Incorporates differences into the provision of care by integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Acts as a resource to physicians, nurses and other allied professional healthcare team members to provide patients with optimum nutritional care.
- Serves as a clinical mentor for team members while participating in interdisciplinary committee assignments to further clinical nutrition practice.
- Provides nutrition education to patients, families and hospital staff
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Dietitian Clinical Specialist 2 Requirements:
- Work Schedule: Full-time Day Shift (32 hrs/week) Monday- Friday with rotating weekends and holidays
- Education: Bachelor's degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a Master's Degree
- Experience: Minimum four years of experience as an RDN with one year of experience in a specialty area such as ICU or Oncology.
- Certification:
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) plus one of the following: CSG; CSOWM, CSO, CSP, CSPCC, CSR, CSSD CNSC, or CDECE required upon start.
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required within 3 Months of hire
