This position is responsible for operating a flexographic printing press in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on attention to detail is critical in maintaining our strict quality standards. The incumbent will set up and operate a high-speed flexographic printing press, ensuring completion of print jobs in accordance with quality standards and production goals.
Previous printing experience in a flexographic environment is preferred, but training is available for candidates with strong mechanical ability. Starting wage is based on experience and ability to efficiently operate multiple assets.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have mechanical aptitude with the ability to make basic machine adjustments
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours and required overtime, which may include evenings and weekends
- Must be able to operate material handling equipment, such as hand truck, pallet jack and forklift
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, and move in a processing environment
- Must be able to effectively communicate with managers, supervisors and co-workers
- Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of printing experience in a flexo-environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary technical or vocational coursework
- 2 years' printing experience in a flexo-environment
