What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Internship position at Inpria Corporation?
Inpria Corporation, a JSR company, has an opening for a Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Internship based in Corvallis, OR. You will join our diverse team of talent and contribute directly to all business aspects by supporting the EHS program to ensure employee safety and health, legal compliance, and environmental protection. Anticipated start date is April 7th, 2025, ending on June 27th, 2025.
Primary Responsibilities
- This internship will support Inpria’s Environmental, Health, and Safety department
- The internship will support Inpria’s compliance project to meet the reporting and recordkeeping requirements of TSCA Section (a)(7) regarding PFAS (Perfluoro alkyl substances)
- Determine whether certain chemicals or articles meet PFAS definitions
- Under general direction, the intern will utilize software programs to collect information on PFAs utilized within the business
- The EHS Intern will review Inpria’s history to the extent known or reasonable ascertainable to identify PFAs manufactured and/or purchased
- Findings will be collected, and information will be presented to Inpria’s regulatory team at the end of the internship
- There may be other tasks and program support needs throughout the internship
- Schedule and hours of work will be flexible to meet student needs, but work is expected to occur on-site at the HP Campus in Corvallis, Or. Remote work will only be approved when necessary.
- Engage with Inpria staff to gain insight and knowledge of program needs from affected parties
- Deliver training materials in small or large group settings
- Travel for the position is not expected
- Interns will be expected to work in chemical manufacturing environments, to wear required personal protective equipment, and stand for long periods of time

Key Qualifications
- Be in pursuit of a Public Health degree or on a path toward a career in Occupational Safety and Health
- Must be enrolled at Oregon State University
- Must be proactive and demonstrate problem-solving skills necessary to meet internship objectives
- Capable of presenting information to various levels of the business and various sizes of groups
- Employee is required to pass a background check and successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
- Manufacturing and/or laboratory experience is preferred
Compensation and Benefits
- 17.50/hr for undergraduate students
- 20.00/hr for graduate students
- Paid sick leave and holidays
