About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. As a Accountant, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, while identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Responsibilities
- Reconcile monthly general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Perform monthly accrual entries for the general ledger.
- Manage accounts payable, including invoice verification, proper coding, and timely payments.
- Prepare and distribute year-end 1099 forms.
- Handle accounts receivable transactions, including timely billing and payment processing.
- Review, process, and audit employee expense reports.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements, including profit and loss (P&L), balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Asset register; conduct physical audits of fixed assets.
- Assist in preparations for internal and external audits, addressing inquiries and providing necessary documentation.
- Support annual tax filings by gathering required data and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to current accounting standards, regulations, and principles, staying informed of any updates.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to optimize accounting workflows.
- Analyze financial data to identify meaningful trends and insights.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with ERP systems such as SAP and QuickBooks preferred.
- Strong knowledge of standard accounting practices and procedures.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
