The CNC Router Operator is responsible for the successful and efficient operation of all CNC routers, while maintaining order and delivery of cut parts to the carpentry team. This is a hands-on position that will report directly to the Carpentry Foreman.
Key Responsibilities·
- Understand and interpret router files
- Oversee cutting strategies to maintain precise cutting and bit life
- Strategize the best use of new and remnant materials
- Load and unload sheet goods onto router bed
- Clean, trim, deburr, and collate finished pieces
- Maintain machines according to the maintenance schedule
- Communicate problems and progress to technical management
- Assist other departments when time allows
- Maintain a safe work environment
