What We Need:
This is a full-time hybrid role consisting of a Support Coordinator (Qualified Professional) and an Employment Specialist. For the QP portion of the role you will be responsible for developing and coordinating Plans of Care for individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. This will include meeting with IDD individuals and families to address needs and concerns and you must be able to work cooperatively with community partners as well as staff from other InReach departments. For the Employment Specialist portion of the role, you will assist adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities in searching for jobs, following up on job leads, and networking with employers in the Charlotte area.
What You'll Do:
QP Duties:
- Supervising Community Outreach staff in the implementation of support to individuals served.
- Monitoring, managing, and facilitating operations on a day-to-day basis.
- Responsible to complete all documentation in a timely manner.
- Implementation and review of customers Plan of Care.
- Plan and oversee work schedule, approve payroll hours.
- Provide one-on-one supervision as needed.
- Share on-call service for emergencies.
- Must have access to a vehicle 24-hours a day and be willing to drive anywhere in Mecklenburg County
Employment Specialist Duties:
- Support customers with a job of their choice in all aspects of job seeking, i.e., writing resumes, looking for work, applying for jobs, attending interviews, attending job orientations, and providing on-the-job training
- Support customers in other vocational services to seek, train, and maintain employment
- Help customers explore new things, pursue their interests, & help with socialization
- Responsible to oversee customer participation in activities as described in the goal plan
- Maintain health and safety of everyone
- Provide reliable transportation
- Maintains credentials (training)
- Assure confidentiality
Qualifications and Licensing Requirements:
- 4-year degree in a Human Services field.
- 2 years of supervised direct experience working with the IDD population.
- 1-2 years of management/supervisory experience preferred.
- One-year Supported Employment/Job Coach experience working with I/DD & Special populations
- Willing to provide customer transportation using your vehicle
- Valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm; potential weekends depending on job training needs; possible hybrid schedule as a QP.
Location: Clanton Day Support Center - will require travel but what that travel looks like is dependent on your location.
Rate: 20 hours QP at $25.64 per hour and 20 hours ES at $18 per hour; may fluctuate based on individual's needs
Sign-on Bonus: $500 SIGN-ON BONUS ($250 at hire, and the remaining $250 after 6 months of employment)
Job Type: Full-time with benefits; 36-40 hours per week
