What We Need: Position available to work every other weekend /alternating weekend in a residential setting for an adult coed home with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) in Mecklenburg County. This is an overnight sleep stay on Friday and Saturday at the residential home on the weekends that you work. The Residential Weekend staff provides care for I/DD individuals with support in the training needed to help them learn how to care for themselves in areas such as cooking, housekeeping, using leisure time, and routine health care.

Job Type: Part-time
Rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Friday 6:00 pm - Sunday 6:30 pm
- Overnight sleep stays at the residential home are required on Friday and Saturday nights.
Language:
- Basic American Sign Language (ASL) Required
What You'll Do:
- Teach meal planning and cooking.
- Instruct and assist with household cleaning, personal care & hygiene.
- Provide community recreational activities when available.
- Provide and participate in in-home leisure activities.
- Documentation of weekend activities.
- Helping residents develop healthy social habits.
- Dispensing medication and monitoring dosages.
- Must be willing to drive a full-size passenger van.

All InReach applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and successfully pass a drug screen and background check. The applicant must be at least 21 years old and have six months' direct experience working with individuals with disabilities (paid or volunteer) preferred. In lieu of experience with disabilities, other relevant experience may be considered with additional on-the-job training. All experience must be verifiable.
