About this role:
An HR Coordinator is a vital support role within the human resources department, responsible for a wide range of administrative and operational tasks. They handle essential functions like recruitment support (posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews), onboarding new hires, managing employee records, assisting with benefits administration, and answering employee inquiries. They are responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and providing crucial support to both employees and the HR team. Their work is critical for maintaining compliance, fostering positive employee relations, and supporting the overall success of the organization. Our HR team is also responsible for processing payroll as well.

Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assisting with job postings and screening resumes
- Scheduling interviews and coordinating with hiring managers
- Conducting background checks and reference checks
- Preparing offer letters and onboarding paperwork
- Ensuring new hires are properly integrated into the company
Employee Relations:
- Answering employee questions about policies, benefits, and procedures
- Assisting with employee relations issues and investigations
- Maintaining employee records and ensuring confidentiality
Benefits Administration:
- Helping employees enroll in benefits programs
- Processing benefits changes and updates
- Acting as a liaison between employees and benefits providers
HR Administration/Payroll:
- Maintaining HR databases and systems
- Preparing reports and analyzing HR data
- Coordinating HR events and activities
- Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Assist with day-to-day payroll items and the processing of payroll
Required qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
- Experience: Some entry-level HR experience or internships are beneficial
- Knowledge: Familiarity with HR principles, practices, and employment laws
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HR information systems (HRIS), NetSuite, and multiple web-based applications
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP): Will enhance credibility and career prospects
Travel:
- Minimal; may travel to local career fairs
Compensation:
- $22/hr. - $25/hr.
Ability to relocate:
- Must live in the DM Metro area
Work Environment:
- Primarily a sedentary position
