Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a highly respected local residential and commercial contractor in Rochester to recruit a Project Manager.
The Project Manager plays a key role within the Commercial Department managing projects from start to finish, including identifying opportunities and preparing bids and quotes.
Position Summary :
The Project Manager will manage submittals, assessing field conditions and measurements with general contractors, ordering and tracking materials, RFI’s, change orders, preparing materials for delivery, providing technical advice and problem resolution, attend jobsite meetings, purchase orders, and estimating profit margins, and job management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Complete project oversight from start to finish ensuring timely completion.
- Managing and reviewing submittals and drawings.
- Assessing field conditions and measurements with General Contractors.
- Providing accurate measurements and description for all hardware and materials.
- Ordering and tracking materials.
- Reviewing and executing RFI’s, Change Orders, and related changes to contract necessary for invoicing.
- Working with Warehouse to prepare materials for delivery date.
- Meeting with General Contractors crews onsite at start of project and as needed through the lifecycle of the project providing technical advice and resolutions.
- Attending jobsite meetings.
- Reviewing all Purchase Orders and comparing POs against initial estimates submitted.
- Confirming estimated profit margins are in line with the scope of work needed for completion, both allocated labor and materials.
- On-site job management during installation, if needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
5 or more years of related experience, preferably in commercial construction; PMP is preferred.Experience and knowledge of building and safety materials, including hardware, doors and windows.Self-starter and strong attention to detail.Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and plan readings.Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple properties, and changing deadlines.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Revision Date : February 3, 2022
