Lighting Account Representative

Position Responsibilities
- Develop long-term relationships with customers through expert service and lighting specification
- Assess the customers’ needs, develop rapport, and identify the lighting specification for their project
- Coordinate with the design team to develop innovative solutions for customer needs
- Establish strong relationships with manufacturer representatives
- Travel to meet with potential clients and discuss design expectations
- Attend tradeshows and industry trainings to maintain up-to-date product knowledge
- Minimum 2-5 years prior success in a commission-based sales role required
- Degree or Lighting Certified (LC) preferred
- Valid driver’s license required and the ability to dedicate 50% of travel time
- Experience in luxury residential housing construction is preferred
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on customer service
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers, employees, and senior-level leadership
- Ability to multi-task, handle contract negotiations, and work in a deadline-oriented environment
- A passion for working in a team atmosphere and helping others while demonstrating confidence, desire, and ability to sell
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and the ability to utilize internet search engines
