Description
A.T. Still University seeks an exempt Employee Relations Manager for the St. Louis, MO campus. The Employee Relations Manager assists with developing, implementing, and administrating employee relations programs and policies. This role ensures that employee relations strategies align with organizational goals and legal requirements while fostering a positive work environment. The Employee Relations Manager also provides guidance, support, and expertise to employees, supervisors, and managers in interpreting policies and resolving employee relations issues. This position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 5-8 years in a related field. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Requirements
Essential Functions :
- Consultation and Guidance : Serve as a key advisor to employees, supervisors, and managers, providing advice on policy interpretation, dispute resolution, and employee relations matters.
- Issue Resolution : Address employee grievances, conduct thorough investigations as needed, and ensure consistent application of company policies in resolving issues.
- Policy Management and Implementation : Assist schools / colleges, departments, and divisions with policy development and implementation, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Assist the director of policy and employee education with institution-wide policy development and implementation.
- Compliance : Ensure adherence to legal requirements and company standards related to employee relations policies, including anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, and conflict-of-interest guidelines.
- Employee Development : Provide training and guidance on employee relations topics to managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of effective management and professional growth. Assist the policy and employee education director with developing and implementing the employee learning management system and employee education.
