Job Summary
Assists in the preparation and serving of food for Cafeteria, Catering and Farmer's Market.
Primary Responsibilities
Food Preparation and Cost (60%)
- Assists in preparation and serving of food for the main service outlets.
- Maintains specialty foods know-how, including gluten-free, vegetarian, and restricted diet meals.
- Utilizes fresh herbs from the Food Services garden.
- Helps control food and labor costs by reducing waste with proper techniques and storage of food products.
- Visually inspects all food sent from the kitchen.
- Participates in more complex preparation and cooking of food.
Sanitation and Safety (30%)
Training and Other (10%)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or GED, one year of related experience and / or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
