General Schedule :
Typically, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm at UCO's main campus in Edmond, Oklahoma.
Position Summary :
Responsible for leading the Talent Acquisition function, managing daily operations, and ensuring a seamless, compliant hiring process that enhances the candidate and new hire experience. This role involves overseeing staff, optimizing processes, and partnering with departments across campus to align hiring efforts with organizational goals while driving continuous improvement. This role also helps to oversee employment authorization and plays a key role in managing processes related to international hiring.
Job Duties :
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the talent acquisition department.
- Process federal I9s, E-Verify cases, and other employment authorization documents.
- Oversee and coordinate functions related to international employment and sponsorship in partnership with appropriate legal counsel.
- Design, implement, and continually improve the onboarding process for all hires.
- Resolve candidate, department, and other issues and lead team in providing excellent customer service.
- Oversee and enhance applicant tracking system functionality to streamline recruitment processes.
- Develop and maintain standardized hiring practices and oversee organization-wide training for screening committees and hiring managers.
- Lead employer branding and recruitment initiatives.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by refining communication, feedback, and engagement strategies.
- Manage relationships with community partners, job boards, and others to optimize sourcing efforts.
- Design and implement internal recruitment strategies and programs to support career growth and internal mobility.
- Provide strategic consultation to department leaders regarding workforce planning to support organizational goals.
- Partner with other HR departments (particularly Compensation and Classification) to ensure job descriptions, titles, and other position information is in alignment with UCO programs and policies.

Qualifications Required :
5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Requires the application of expertise in a chosen field to achieve results. Appropriate professional accomplishments and credentials.
Qualifications / Experience Preferred :
Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Professional experience in Talent Acquisition including designing and implementing strategies to improve candidate experience, hiring practices, or similar preferred.
