Essential Function :
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
The primary responsibility of this position is providing one-on-one and group tutoring to middle school and high school students. In addition, the following duties may be expected :
- Providing additional academic support necessary for students to successfully complete general homework and class assignments.
- Tracking and recording student tutoring performance on a daily basis.
- Providing a safe and welcoming learning environment.
- Serving as a positive and responsible adult role model.
- Gathering instructional supplies for tutoring sessions and returning them to storage at the end of the session.
- Attending professional development trainings as assigned (tutors are compensated for time spent on professional development training).
- Reporting any concerning or inappropriate behavior to center staff.
