Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forman to lead our construction team in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards on-site. This role is a working Forman role.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that all activities align with project specifications and timelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide project execution and ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Manage contracts with subcontractors, ensuring that all work is completed according to agreed-upon terms and quality standards.
- Utilize Prolog and ProCore software for project management, including tracking progress, managing budgets, and documenting changes.
- Implement quality control measures throughout the construction process to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Coordinate with team members to build structures according to plans while adhering to safety regulations.
- Engage in budgeting activities to monitor project expenses and ensure financial efficiency.
- Train and mentor team members in best practices for construction techniques, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics.
- Experience with Prolog and ProCore software for effective project management.
- Strong budgeting skills with the ability to manage financial aspects of contracts effectively.
- Knowledge of quality control processes within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with HeavyBid software for estimating costs and managing bids is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
