About the Company
Insight Global is searching for a mid-level accountant to join the Capital Assets Accounting team at one of our largest healthcare clients in the Southeast. This position will be expected to be onsite 5 days a week and will earn some hybrid flexibility with time and independence.
About the Role
Day-to-day will be a variety of monthly and daily responsibilities. For monthly responsibilities those will include but not limited to Monthly Journal Entries, AP Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and other tasks related to month end close. Daily responsibilities will include the following:
- Asset Disposal – recognition of asset disposals will be completed in accordance with the proper documentation and type of disposal (gain, loss, scrap, etc.). You will also assure that transfer of assets within the healthcare system are recorded and documented within the standards required. This will include a high level of communication and coordination towards the departments or divisions involved with the asset. You will then be completing the necessary accounting within the general ledger and subledger to capture the asset.
- You will be holding a constant line of communication with division managers and other departments to ensure proper compliance of the hospital systems policies and procedures with capitalizing assets and projects. You will be including reviews of projects throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that in the planning stage those projects can be budgeted and accounted for properly.
- Support and tick mark balances and the transaction detail level with the appropriate documentation. You will be assisting with year end audit. Submitting documentation within the project timelines and working directly with external auditing partners to provide additional support as needed to other team members working with the general ledger.
Responsibilities
A qualified individual for this role will bring at least 3 years of experience in a corporate accounting role along with a bachelor’s degree in an accounting focus. Individuals do not need prior Capital Assets/Projects accounting experience to be qualified for this role, but must be willing to learn that space.
Required Skills
- 3 Years of Experience in a Corporate Accounting Space (Some flex based on experience/maturity of candidate/personality/sense of humor, etc.)
- Advanced Excel Experience (Must be comfortable with doing reconciliation with large data sets in Excel, V-Lookup, Pivot Tables)
- Experience with Monthly Journal Entries, AP Reconciliation, and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Desire to grow from within/build a career
- 4 year bachelor’s degree with a focus in Accounting

Pay range and compensation package
$30-$35/HR
