Job Overview
An analytical polymer chemist is needed to join an analytical characterization group within a company's R&D organization. The individual will be responsible for performing various analyses, including gel permeation chromatography (GPC), inherent viscosity (IV) analysis, and HPLC analysis of small organic compounds and impurities in complex polymer matrices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform GPC, IV, and HPLC analysis of polymer products and small organic compounds.
- Develop and validate analytical methods.
- Maintain good documentation and lab notebooks.
Requirements
- PhD in Chemistry or related scientific discipline or MS Degree with 3 years of industry experience.
- Education or industry experience in polymer required.
- In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of GPC, HPLC, and other chromatographic techniques.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
- Separation techniques.
- Experience with test method development and validation.
- Prior experience working in an analytical laboratory environment in a regulated industry.
