A large university client is looking for an A / V / Classroom Support Technician for the School of Public Health to work 5 days a week onsite in New Haven, CT for a 6 month contract to hire. This person will be supporting 2 large rooms (150-200 seats) , 6 small rooms (50 seats), and 5-6 conference rooms (15 seats). They will provide A / V troubleshooting in classrooms, conference rooms and some iPad support to end users. On the day to day, this technician will spend the beginning of the day setting up classrooms. Throughout the day they will respond to issues as needed, and set up for events. They will support the end users from inquiries via the phone, can perform some troubleshooting from the IT room and some in person troubleshooting to the classrooms. They will use remote monitoring tools such as QSYS UCI Viewer, IPNinjar, and Domotz to ensure all systems are functioning optimally. This A / V Technician must be able to deliver top-notch, in-person customer service to end-users.
Must-haves
- 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting and supporting A / V systems
- Proven ability to provide technical support via phone, email, and in-person
- Patient team player with ability to deliver great face-to-face end user service
- Bachelor's degree
